There are some places on Baikal with a special protection regime on their territory. Chivirkuysky bay is one of those places. It is located on the territory of Barguzin Nature Reserve where Baikal's waters are warm and shallow. It is truly wild and magical place. You will find yourself in the surroundings of dense taiga forest and crystal—clear vast waters of Sacred Lake.

Circum-Baikal Railway is the biggest architectural monument in Russia nowadays and the most expensive railroad built in royal Russia! This place is considered one of the most attractive places on Baikal! Tunnels and arches on the shore of Baikal are built in delicate style of Italian architectures. This place reminds a small piece of old Europe in far-away Siberia. The Trans-Siberian railway used to be a part of great Circum-Baikal Railway.

Unpredictable mountain pass known as Davan in north Baikal has been the object of BAM builders. But the severe landscape of this region made it impossible to developing. That was then but now the times have changed. The slopes have softened and now this place extremely attractive for free rider skiers and snowboarders

One cannot describe the enchantment of this Lake, you have to visit the place by yourself. The magic of northern Baikal, gorgeous and gentle landscapes, fresh water and air. Maloye Sea is separated from «Big Baikal». By the biggest Island of the Lake — Olkhon. Best features of unique Siberian nature are gathered at this place. Warm water of the bays. Picturesque fragrant steppes lay at the very bottom of Mighty Mountains of Primorskiy Mountain Range. 

The white peaks of the Hamar-Daban mountain, seen from the shores of Baikal. Which are interesting to skiers as well as nature enthusiasts. The Mamay slope is a particular favorite for skiers. Who come to the Baikal region looking for adventure and exceptional skiing. Height drops reach 700 meters, trails stretch 3km, and in the winter months the snow is 5–7 meters deep.

Olkhon island is a home of many tribes and nationalities of Central Asia: martial Gunnes, Turkes, Kurikans and others. Many legends are associated with this Island. One of them even say that Olkhon is a place where «Conqueror of the World» — Genghis Khan is buried.

Peschanaya Bay is one of the most fascinating places on Baikal. Golden sand beaches, centuries-old cedar trees that rise in dense taiga forest. Vitamin cocktails made from forest berries. Unbelievably crystal—clear water of the Lake. These things are associated with Peschanaya Bay.

Shumak is an extraordinary place. It is located at the altitude of 1558 meters at the very heart of Sayan mountains. Nobody stayed indifferent to this place after visiting it. You will find virgin forests and mountains, narrow paths covered with pine-needles, hot springs and cold mineral water here. In this place you will feel real idyll between you and mountainous nature. If you come to Baikal for excellent swimming in crystal—clear waters, sand beaches and Siberian sun-tan — go to Yarki Island! This is the long sand spit at the very north of Lake Baikal . This place is shallow which let the waters warm up here till 75F. There you will find terrific landscapes of Baikal mountains as well as amazing views to sacred Lake.

Yenhokh is unique of numerous of ant-hills which located here as well as on Ushkaniy Islands. These small creatures protect you from ticks and snakes. Vast meadows change their colors here depending on the season. In spring and beginning of summer the coast seems violet-purple because of Rhododendron blossoming which fills the air with wonderful smell. In summer time that plant changes to bright yellow colors of ounces and purple-pink lilies.

«Zama» is a picturesque and vast meadow valley, flowering at summer time with red lilies and yellow poppies. There is also a small Laguna lake rich in fish not far from it. There is also a healing mineral spring drinking water of which helps for gastric.
