 The only rafting available in the region is found on the border of the Angara River and Lake Baikal. At the source of the Angara river there is ice as thick as 90cm, but the river itself is not frozen over during the winter months. The conditions are perfect for rafting, and the best rafting is experienced from the middle of March through the middle fo April.
