Crystalline water, Baikal Sponges that look like royal corals, golden sand, unbelievable cliff of Baikal  snap which are hard to describe with words, they must be seen! Baikal diving is inside-out view to the cleanest lake in the world.

It is said Jacques-Yves Cousteau having plunged into the depth of Baikal couldn’t believe he was in water. It was so pure and transparent that it seemed to not exist. The person having seen four oceans was astonished at pureness, flora, and fauna of Baikal waters.

There are no bright fishes and branchy corals. But there is special Baikal world. Sand and marble lake bed is dotted with Baikal Sponges which waving fantastically; Goby sculpting are hiding under stones, flocks of omul and grayling youngsters flicker everywhere. Huge like royal shrimps Gammarus entomostracans are trying to run from you. Sun light shines through water column and lightens your way. Idyll and peace are around of you. But everything’s going to change once u reaches a denting. A denting is a wall of Baikal crack. Sharp and rough cliffs go down for thousands meters. Visibility is only several dozen meters (up to 40) of rocks. You feel as if you’re hovering above ranges of mountains. Below sponges wave as well but they are of bigger size; you easily can see big fish.

Baikal diving differs from each other in various places. But you can hold several dives in different Baikal places. In Listvyanka you would see a creep in ten meters from the shore. North shoals would astonish you; they are full of bright seaweeds and fishes. You would be able swim in lake in golden sand in Peschanaya bay and Maloe More Strait. On Ushkanskie islands you can watch at Baikal seal. Look and appraise underwater world of saint Lake Baikal .

A minimum quantity of group is three people.

If you don’t have a target to learn diving but you want to try during Baikal trip, the best place would be in Listvyanka (south of Baikal area) and in north Baikal region. These places have diving centers with skillful instructors, equipment, and necessary outfit.

This sight will not keep anyone indifferent. Onlyunderwater you can feel and understand whole power and grandeur of the cleanest and the deepest lake in the world.
