Baikal Ice Golf Tournament will take place in March 2018

Baikal Ice Golf Tournament is our long-standing tradition. In 2018 Baikal Ice Golf Tournament will be held for the 14th time already! The Tournament organizers are Irkutsk Region Golf Federation and «Baikalov» travel company.
Baikal Ice Golf Tournament has become very popular; it is waited and thoroughly prepared for. Baikal is one of the best sporting arenas for ice golf, comparable, probably, only to Greenland. More than 1000 people have played ice golf for the last 12 years, and the most mass participation tournament has gathered 150 both professional and amateur players. The annual World Ice Golf Championship has been held on the world's northernmost golf course on the shelf ice near Uummannaq, Greenland since 1997.
We invite you to take part in Baikal Ice Golf Tournament 2018 as part of the preparation for the World Ice Golf Championship, which will be held here, on the Baikal ice, in 2020!
What does it look like?
Ice golf is the game played over snow (or ice) instead of grass. The "greens" are called "whites" and have a maintained snow or ice surface. A red ball shows up like a splash of color on the ice and snow field and helps players keep track of it in the white landscape. The two kilometers long track is flagged right on the Baikal ice. The flags are installed in the holes.
While the views may be picturesque, the golf is quite difficult. The surface of the playing ground is diverse – plain ice, snow, ice ridges, water, and snow banks. Natural surface roughness makes the game interesting and exciting; refreshing Baikal breeze provides a certain amount of extreme. It is something you will never forget! The tournament beats everything you have ever done in your golf career!

Baikal Ice Golf Tournament 2018 will have a two day format, a player (or a team) who took part in one of the two days of the tournament and were ranked the best according to the results of the two days will become the winner!
You will experience several hours of an exciting and spectacular game on the ice of the planet’s most beautiful lake! We guarantee you will get authentic experiences!

12:00-16:00 – the 1st day of the Baikal Ice Golf Tournament.

10:00-11:00 – the 2nd day participants’ registration.
11:00 – general tournament participants attendance.
11:00-15:00 – the 2nd day of the Baikal Ice Golf Tournament.
15:00 – Gala exhibition and the Previous Winners Championship. Tournament summing up.
16:00 – winners and runners-up “Best Round” awarding event.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that according to the tournament regulations for the Baikal Grand Prix in team competitions, we will only take into account the results of those teams where there are female players.
