Hot springs
What can be more relaxing than bathing in a natural hot spring on a cold winter day? The surrounding scenery is soothing, and despite of the frost your body will retain the rejuvenating warmth of the hot spring.
The landscape of the Baikal shore is extremely picturesque and rich in thermal and mineral sources. The water temperature hovers between 86 and 113 F degrees and is wonderfully enjoyable when compared with the waters of Kotelnikovskiy on the western shore, where temperatures reach 176 F degrees and must be diluted with frozen ice water.
According to the Russain fairytales, the salubrious waters of Lake Baikal are known as an «elixir of life». Some claim that in the northern end of Baikal, the Hakus waters can cure rheumatism, radiculitis, diseases of joints and bones, nervous disorder, and skin diseases. Aside from being healthy, these hot springs are pure enjoyment! At many of these locations there is an established infrastructure where you can find bath houses for your pleasure. Transportation in these locations submitted to snowmobile or helicopter, and not far from these places we can construct a creative ice hotel or igloo. The possibilities are endless!
